Ice Cube Holds the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather Fight Hostage over T-Mobile Arena Booking

It’s only been a few days since the mega fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather became official. The mega-bout will take place on August 26th at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, on the famous strip. There’s just one little problem with that date. Ice Cube already booked the arena for that date and he is not about to give it up easily. Ice Cube’s new basketball league, BIG3, will be holding their championship that weekend.

It seems Cube might consider moving to another areana, but only for the right price and a whole lot of free publicity. Ice Cube appeared on Fox Sports and stated, “if they do what they are supposed to do, then yeah we’ll move.” That basically means he is holding the most anticipated fight in recent history hostage. It also means if Cube has good lawyers, Showtime and Mayweather will have to drop some cold hard cash on Ice Cube and make him happy. While the numbers will surely be non-disclosed, it will likely be in the 7 figures and Cube will get additional millions in free advertising for his upstart half-court basketball league.

As for who Ice Cube thinks will win the fight. ¬†Without hesitation, Cube said “Mayweather will put them thangs on Conor.”
